Elmer A. Laydon is the founder and managing member of Laydon and Company, LLC, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants.
Elmer specializes in tax planning and reporting, financial and estate planning, litigation support and medical practice management.
He is a magna cum laude graduate of Quinnipiac College with a B.S. degree in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the States of Connecticut and Florida. Elmer is also a Certified Fraud Examiner. He was formerly a tax manager with Price Waterhouse, an international “Big Six” accounting firm as well director of a regional accounting firm’s tax and consulting practices.
Elmer has had extensive experience in dealing with the financial, tax and accounting needs of individuals, closely held businesses, private clubs and health care providers as well as international and domestic taxation consulting with Fortune 100 corporations. He has lectured on financial and estate planning issues. Elmer is heavily involved with issues surrounding medical practices and the delivery of health care and has assisted in the development of Management Services Organizations (MSO). He has developed an RVU based costing system to aid medical practices in successfully evaluating and negotiating managed care and capitated contracts.
Elmer is a member of several professional organizations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Elmer is a frequent lecturer before civic, religious and CPA peer groups and has served on the Board of Directors of several organizations. Elmer is or has served as a member of the following organizations:

Elmer formerly coached ice hockey and has won several Connecticut State and New England Regional titles and was National Champion runner-up.
